Guns and Roses star Axl Rose parties at London gay club run by former MP's son

Guns and Roses front man Axl Rose is reported to have partied at an exclusive London gay club night run by a former Conservative MP's son after his band's disastrous performance at the Reading Festival.

The band had appeared on stage an hour late on Friday and their set came to an abrupt end after festival organisers cut off the power to their microphones and guitars due to late-night noise regulations.

It's reported that front man Axl Rose descended on the Royal Jelly night held at the exclusive Bungalow 8 in London's Covent Garden.

The night is promoted by Henry Conway, the son of the former disgraced MP for Old Bexley and Sidcup Derek Conway and features drag queen Jodie Harsh as the DJ.

"We worked in some rock classics but Axl seemed to love the gay disco tunes anyway and partied on," a source told The Metro newspaper.

"It was a bizarre meeting of disco and rock on the dance floor."

Derek Conway paid his Henry, now the promoter of the night in question, out of Parliamentary expenses whilst he was a full time student in Newcastle. A number of tabloid newspapers focused on Henry Conway's sexuality causing Mr Conway senior to accuse them of homophobia. "Why should he be pilloried for being gay?" he exclaimed in 2008. "He's my son."
